Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service: June 21-July 3

What is The Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service?

The Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service is an intensive program dedicated to teaching leadership skills through a number of classroom and hands-on settings, including lessons on leadership fundamentals, internships, and problem-solving exercises, all the while focusing on social justice as it relates to the greater Richmond community.

Participants have represented many Richmond area schools, both public and private, bringing their diverse backgrounds and talents together to become catalysts for change within their communities.  Students will participate in lessons on campus as well as intern with local organizations to help.

When will this take place and how much will students be paid for participating?

  • Program Dates – June 21- July 3
  • Students earn $500.00 upon successful completion of the program.

What do interested students need to do next?

  • Complete a short interest survey  (INTEREST FORM LINK.)
  • Forms due by April 13th
  • Attend our Open House on April 24th at St. Christopher’s School (interviews held during this time as well)
