🏀🥣 Buckets for Bowls: Wildcats vs. Freeman! 🥣🏀 Deep Run, it’s time to show up and show out—not just on the court, but in our community! Freeman challenged us to a Cereal Drive Showdown to support Feed More, and we accepted! Bring boxes of cereal to the game and drop them off at the entrance. The school that collects the most by halftime wins the bragging rights! 📅 Game Night: 1/31/25 📍 Location: Freeman HS 🎯 Goal: Beat Freeman & help fight hunger! 🌍🏆 Deep Run Model UN! 🏆🌍 This weekend, our Deep Run Model UN delegation represented us with excellence at Henrico High School! Several of our delegates brought home individual awards, and as a team, we earned "Outstanding Delegation"—the second-highest honor of the conference! 🎉👏 Huge congratulations to our Wildcats for their hard work, diplomacy, and dedication! 🌎

🎶✨ What an unforgettable trip to Nashville, Tennessee, for our talented choral students! For over 20 years, Mrs. El-Khouri has been creating life-changing opportunities for Deep Run students, and this year was no exception. Our Wildcats had the incredible honor of recording the National Anthem at the legendary RCA Studio B — the very same studio where icons like Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Charley Pride made music history. Thank you to everyone who made this amazing learning experience possible! 🎤🎵

Mrs. Nashes classes did a “Gallery walk” where her AP Human geo students shared their Holiday cultures choice board. Students could share any part of their project and many chose to share a holiday dessert important to their culture!

🧁 Sweet skills in the kitchen! 🎂 Nutrition and Wellness students had a special visit from professional baker Ms. Turner, who shared her expertise on making frosting and decorating cupcakes. What a fun and delicious way to learn!

This October, our AFJROTC cadets visited the 459th Air Refueling Wing at Andrews AFB for an unforgettable experience! They got to fly aboard a KC-135R Stratotanker and see firsthand what it's like to perform an in-flight refuel. The excitement didn't stop there—they witnessed the refueling of not one, not two, but three F-22 Raptors mid-air!

🚁AFJROTC at Pocahontas Middle! 🛩️ Our AFJROTC cadets recently visited 7th and 8th graders at Pocahontas Middle School, sharing what makes Deep Run’s Air Force JROTC program so special. From aerospace science to leadership skills, this four-year elective is packed with opportunities for future Wildcats! 🤖🎯 AFJROTC offers the following topics in its course: ✈️ Learning to fly drones and build robots 🏹 Developing archery skills 🚀 Taking field trips to military bases 💼 Building leadership and citizenship qualities Curious about joining AFJROTC?
