Today was a special day as we gather to celebrate the achievements of our talented student-athletes on Fall Signing Day! 🎉📜✨
Our extraordinary athletes are signing their letters of intent and making a commitment to play their chosen sports at their respective colleges. This is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for their sports.
Deep Run HS has a long-standing tradition of nurturing and developing incredible athletes, and today, we continue that legacy as our students take the next step in their athletic journeys. We're immensely proud of each and every one of them! 🐾👏
Join us in congratulating our students who will be continuing their academic and athletic pursuits in college. It's not just about the game; it's about embracing opportunities, challenging limits, and growing as individuals.
Participating in sports teaches valuable life skills, and we know that our student-athletes will carry the lessons learned on the field into their future endeavors. We wish them success in all their academic and athletic endeavors!
To our athletes, families, coaches, and the entire Deep Run community, let's come together to celebrate this significant milestone. Your support has played a crucial role in the success of our student-athletes, and we invite you to share your well-wishes and congratulations! 🥳👏
If you're at the event or want to share your own memories of these outstanding athletes, use the hashtag #DeepRunSigningDay. Let's create a digital scrapbook of this memorable day! 📷📢
Congratulations to all our Fall Signing Day athletes! Your achievements inspire us all. 🎓🎉👟 #WildcatsPride #NextLevelBound
Congratulations to the Girls & Boys Cross Country teams with placing second and third in Regionals. Both teams advance to VHSL States which will be held tomorrow. Wishing them the best of luck!
You guessed it! It’s time to show our Deep Run teachers and staff how thankful we are for everything that they do for our students!
Each year the PTSO sends every Deep Run teacher and staff member home with a “thankful pie” during Thanksgiving week. You can help ensure that this tradition continues by making a donation via the link below ($12 purchases one pie). As always, thank you for helping the PTSO show appreciation for DRHS’s amazing teachers and staff!

Let's visit in Mrs. Jones' class today!
During the Population Party students took on the role of an international world leader or a civilian. Students had to talk with each other to determine the population problems the world is facing from several different perspectives. Here is the blurb students were given:
As honored guests of the World Population and Health Conference, you have been invited to attend a pre-conference mixer. The conference has brought you here in order to understand the population and health challenges facing your state (country). While the conference begins tomorrow, today is an opportunity for you to meet the other attendees and see what types of issues other states are dealing with and at the same time get to know some new faces!
There were nametags, smiles, lots of conversations and snacks!
Our Deep Run Writing Center consultants enjoyed providing virtual writing consultations to Mr. Wasserman’s 5th grade students at Nuckols Farm Elementary School. The conversations about writing were productive & fun!!

Advanced Digital Media Students spend time with Mr. McCray critiquing their sketchbook ideas for their upcoming project. Critique is one of the most valuable feedback processes an artist can go through as it teaches them how others view their work and potential improvements.
When was the last time you walked into a completely silent classroom?
In American Sign Language Class (ASL) students sign to their virtual instructor and each other in silence. It’s an eerie feeling to walk into a room where students are actively communicating with one another in absolute silence. The ASL class is taught virtually through Henrico County’s Virtual Academy. Mrs. Jennifer Barnes who is deaf and mute teaches the class virtually from Louisiana.
Did you know there was an ASL course offered at Deep Run?
